DURHAM 鈥?New charges have been laid against a man arrested earlier this year on allegations of historical sexual assaults against a child.David Belak, 50, was initially arrested Jan. 29 on allegations that he had sexually assaulted a young person on multiple occasions between 1993 and 2000. It was alleged that the suspect, who claimed to be a foster dad for homeless youths, befriended the child and committed the assaults at his residences in Pickering and Ajax during that time, police said.The suspect had no official affiliation with any foster parent services, police said.
